Transmission Infrastructure Delivery (TID) Update
Under PR6, EirGrid and ESB Networks continue to collaborate to deliver the most ambitious investment plan ever undertaken on the Irish transmission system.
EirGrid is transitioning to an updated framework for our next Price Review 6 period (PR6) covering 2026-2030.
Guidance on the changes is provided below and prior Network Delivery Portfolio publications can be accessed on the superseded NDP website.
Transition from PR5 to PR6 Reporting
PR6 includes significant investment which requires a transition to ensure that reporting processes, data, and systems are updated smoothly and effectively.
This reporting transition reflects a developing multiyear transmission delivery programme, supporting the delivery of a secure, resilient and low-carbon electricity system.
The quarterly NDP publication will be replaced by a joint EirGrid and ESB Networks reporting mechanism - the Transmission Infrastructure Delivery (TID) Update under PR6.
The following guidance note is provided to bring clarity for stakeholders during the transition.
TID Updates and Publications
The TID Update will include quarterly updates on the progress of all transmission infrastructure projects in the PR6 work programme.
The report includes a quarterly status update on 4 key milestones for these projects:
- EirGrid Capital Approval
- Project Agreement with ESB
- Initial Energisation
- Final Energisation
Guidance will be provided alongside the TID Update report when it is published.
Publications
The TID Update will be published after the quarterly data cycle has closed.
