EirGrid and ESB Networks complete Glenree-Moy 110 kV uprate

EirGrid, along with ESB Networks, has completed the full uprate of the Glenree–Moy 110 kV circuit in the north west.  

This uprate will increase the rating and capacity of the conductor, reinforcing the grid's ability to transmit more energy from the western region, and helping deliver additional renewable power to homes and businesses across the country.  

The line uprate was delivered on time and aligned with planned outage windows to avoid disruption to the power supply in the area.
