EirGrid named one of Ireland’s best workplaces for 2026
EirGrid, the operator and developer of Ireland’s electricity grid, is proud to announce that it has been named as one of Ireland’s best workplaces for 2026.
Following on from its success last month being accredited with the Great Place to Work Certification, an accolade recognising organisations that create outstanding employee experience, the company has now been ranked 15th in Ireland’s Best Super Large Workplaces 2026.
As grid operator, EirGrid balances supply and demand every minute of the day, while also planning for Ireland’s long-term electricity needs. In addition to this, it is making Ireland renewable-ready, and its people are at the heart of this work.
The Best Workplaces in Ireland award acknowledges organisations across various industries and sizes that prioritise employee wellbeing, growth, and engagement.
EirGrid CEO Cathal Marley described what the latest accolade means for the organisation: “Building a great culture is a key enabler to help us achieve our strategic objectives, as we progress the most ambitious programme of work ever taken on the electricity grid in Ireland.
"This is a fantastic achievement for everyone in the organisation and we are committed to continuing to invest in our people and to foster a great workplace culture into the future.”
Sarah Downing, EirGrid Chief People & Capability Officer, said: “We are incredibly proud to receive this accolade. Now more than ever, employees are seeking workplaces that offer not just job security, but also purpose, growth and recognition.
"We want EirGrid to be a place where we grow as we innovate, where collaboration drives national impact, and where everyone can build a long-term career."
